On 17 June 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Pretoria held a merit-making ceremony marking the seventh day following the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati, Krom Luang Rajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita, to dedicate merit in Her Royal Highness’s honour. The Buddhist chanting ceremony was conducted by Phra Khru Bhavanakhun Videsa, Abbot of Dhammakaya Temple Johannesburg. H.E. Mr. Ekapol Poolpipat, Ambassador of Thailand to South Africa, presided over the ceremony, which was attended by officials and staff of Team Thailand, together with their spouses.
Following the chanting ceremony, the Ambassador and participants paid their respects before the portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati, Krom Luang Rajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita, and signed the Book of Condolence to express their profound gratitude for Her Royal Highness’s gracious benevolence and to honour Her Royal Highness’s immeasurable contributions.
