NON-IMMIGRANT VISA-B (BUSINESS)
► This type of visa is provided for applicants who
- wish to conduct business in Thailand OR
- invest in condominiums in Thailand OR
- have a Thai bank account or purchase a Thai government bond with the equivalent amount of not less than 3 million Baht.
► This type of visa enters into force from 9 October 2020.
Types and validity of Non-Immigrant Visa-B:
• Single-Entry: valid for 90 days from the date of visa issuance. Visa holders may contact the Immigration Bureau of Thailand, after entering Thailand, for the extension of stay and re-entry permit.
• Multiple-Entry: Valid for 1 year after the date of visa issuance (90 days maximum per stay). This type of Visa will only be granted to those who wish to visit Thailand for short business trips and do not seek to be employed in Thailand.
Additonal requirements: Agenda/Schedule dates from both companies in South Africa or Embassy’s accredited countries and Thailand within 1 year for consideration.
Required documents for Non-Immigrant Visa-B applicants are as follows:
1. Visa Application form(s) and photograph(s): two signed and completed Visa Application Forms dated at least 10 working days before the intended date of travel (Visa Application Form), as well as two recent photograph(s) (size 2x2 inch).
2. Passport (valid for no less than 6 months) to be submitted with a copy of the Passport
3. Copy of ID Document other than Passport (for example ID Card or Driving License)
4. Copy of Permanent Residence or other permit (if not a national of the country of residence)
5. Business-related Documents:
5.1 Letter of invitation*, stating the objective and the period of the stay in Thailand
* For applicants who wish to request for multiple entry will need to indicate the agenda date of entry and exit within 1 year
5.2 The company/organisation’s registration documents
- Business license
- Affidafit
- Value added Tax (VAT) registration document (Phor-Phor 20)
- Latest Balance Sheet (Financial Statement)
5.3 Original Letter from the current employer* of the applicant, confirming the current position, salary, and the objective of the visit to Thailand
* For applicants who wish to request for multiple entry will need to indicate the agenda date of entry and exit within 1 year
- In case that the company sponsoring all expenses for the applicant, the letter of sponsoring has to indicate details of employment of the applicant.
***All letters must be typed in the company’s letter head and signed by authorized person **Copies of company documents must be signed by authorized person and affixed the company seal
5.4 In case of self-employ, an original bank statement of the applicant, which shows equivalent amount of not less than 500,000 Baht for the last 6 months.
5.4.1 For Non-Thai nationals who have owned condominium / apartment value USD$100,000 or 3 million baht or more
- A copy of title deed or ownership documents of the condominium owned by the applicant
- An original bank statement of the applicant, which shows equivalent amount of not less than 500,000 Baht for the last 6 months.
5.4.2 For Non-Thai nationals who have been invested in government bond or held saving accounts in Thailand with of at least USD$100,000 or 3 million baht
- Evidence of money transmission and copy of bank book of the bank account in Thailand with an equivalent amount of not less than 3 million Baht for the last 6 months; or Thai government bond with an equivalent amount of not less than 3 million Baht for the last 6 months.
- An original bank statement of the applicant, which shows equivalent amount of not less than 500,000 Baht for the last 6 months.
6. A copy of flight ticket(s).
7. Evidence of accommodation booking - proof of accommodation arrangement for the entire duration of the stay in Thailand.
8. Copy of Yellow fever vaccination card - for applicants from or have travelled to yellow fever infected areas. *See: List of countries which require International Health Certificate for Yellow Fever Vaccination
9. Visa Application Fee (not include visa processing company’s fee) :
Single-Entry Visa: ZAR1,200 Multiple-Entry Visa: ZAR6,000
10. Other documents: as may be requested by Consular officers in addition to the documents above. Please note that Consular officers reserve the right to require additional documents, or an interview, as deemed necessary, without prior notice.
Remark: Applicant from Nigeria must submit letter from employer and certificate of Clearance issued by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency of Nigeria (NDLEA) that is certified by Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja
The Royal Thai Embassy reserves the right not to accept any visa application whereby any required document is absent. If the above procedures are not completed, the official will not proceed with your application.
**The Royal Thai Embassy reserves the right to reject any visa application with insufficient documents or if the reasons given are not fully supported. The visa fee is non-refundable**
All documents: Documents in languages other than Thai or English have to be translated into either Thai or English and notarised by notary organs or relevant diplomatic/consular missions.
