During 6-9 February 2024, The Thai Ambassador discussed several matters of common interests with H.E. Mr. Ebrahim Patel, Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC), H.E. Ms. Nomalungela Gina, H.E. Mr. Fikile Majola, Deputy Ministers of Trade, Industry and Competition, H.E. Ms. Candith Mashego-Dlamini, Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), Honourable Judy Hermans, Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee of Trade, Industry and Competition, Honourable Alan Winde, Premier of the Western Cape, Honourable Geordin Hill-Lewis, Mayor of Cape Town. The discussions revolved around ways forward for bilateral cooperation especially to increase trade volume.

Moreover, the Thai Ambassador also had an opportunity to discuss with Cape Town Air Access and the Airports Company South Africa on enhancement of air connectivity and direct flights between Thailand and South Africa.
