The Royal Thai Embassy together with Ms. Thitiporn Pongkaew or Chef Micky, a famous Thai chef in South Africa and the owner of Chef Micky Thai Dining restaurant, had the honour of hosting cooking classes at three different culinary institutions in Pretoria. The three schools included Steyn’s Culinary School, Capsicum Culinary Studio as well as Capital Hotel School. The cooking classes took place at the school campuses where more than 150 students and 30 general public participants joined not only in Demo lessons but also in practical lessons. The students were taught how to make Money Bags, Massaman Curry as well as Sago and Sweet Corn Pudding. This was a chance for the South African Culinary students to learn more about Thailand and the history of Thai Cuisine.
