On Sunday 29 April 2012, Mr. Surasak Supark, Charge d’Affaires, a.i., presided over the opening ceremony of Thailand’s Songkran Water Festival held by Association for Thais in South Africa (ATSA) at The Bright Water Commons in Randburg, South Africa.  Mr. Suparak also took the opportunity to hand over 10,000 Rands from the Royal Thai Embassy, Pretoria to help support the annual activities of ATSA.
