On 5 December 2012, the Royal Thai Embassy hosted a reception on the occasion of the 85^th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and the National Day of Thailand at the Ambassador's Residence. About 400 people including representatives of diplomatic missions, South Africa government agencies, private sectors, local media and Thais in South Africa attended the function to celebrate this auspicious occasion.
