H.E. Mr. Voradet Viravakin,  Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, and the Consul of the Royal Thai Embassy together with the Thai community in Johannesburg participated in the activity to mark the Visakha Bucha Day at the Johannesburg Meditation Center (JMC) on 13 May 2014.  The Ambassador and the Consul joined the Thai Buddhist community in Johannesburg in the evening chant and made offerings to the Thai monks at the JMC as well as participated in the candle lighting ceremony.  In addition, the Ambassador and the Consul joined the dinner event and took the opportunity to socialise with the Thai community as part of the Embassy’s policy to support and strengthen the Thai community in South Africa.
