On 4 December 2015 the Royal Thai Embassy in Pretoria hosted the reception on the occasion of the 88^th  Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand and Thailand’s National Day at the Thai Ambassador’s Residence. About 300 guests attended the reception. On this occasion, Mr. Surasak Suparat, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of Thailand and H.E. Mr.  Malusi Gigaba, Minister of Home Affairs who represented the South African Government and the President of South Africa delivered their remarks and toasted for the good health and happiness of His Majesty the King.
