The Royal Thai Embassy wishes to announce new visa regulations for holders of African passports, as of September 2017 onwards.

                        Please note the following;

                        1. Visa regulations for nationals of Nigeria
                            1.1 Holders of Nigerian passports residing in Africa are required to submit visa applications in person only at the Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja. They will not be able to submit applications at the other Royal Thai Embassies even though they are locally residing elsewhere in Africa.

                            1.2 The original Certificate of Clearance issued by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency of Nigeria (NDLEA) is required to be presented in support of the visa application.

                            1.3 In cases which Nigerian nationals are to attend meetings, seminars, training courses hosted by Thai authorities or embark on official trips to Thailand, holders of Nigerian diplomatic / official / service passports or Nigerian nationals holding UN Laissez-Passer are able to apply for visas with the Royal Thai Embassy in Pretoria. However, please be aware that approval for such visas require a minimum of two weeks upon receipt of the application.
                        2. Visa regulations for nationals of Cameroon, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Central African Republic, Equatorial- Guinea, Guinea, Soa Tome & Principe, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, and Sudan.
                            The above – mentioned nationals which have residency in African countries are required to apply in person at the Royal Thai Embassies which are accredited to their countries.

                        3. Visa regulations for other African nationals.

                            Other African nationals which have not been mentioned above, that have residency in a country where the Royal Thai Embassy is located or accredited can personally apply for visa in the specified countries. Please note the need to complete a visa application form and present it together with all required documents.
