The Royal Thai Embassy in Pretoria organised a ceremony in honour of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty’s Birthday Anniversary 28 July 2025. H.E. Mr. Ekapol Poolpipat, Ambassador of Thailand to South Africa, presided over the ceremony to offer a royal tribute and extend best wishes to His Majesty the King. The ceremony was attended by officials of the Royal Thai Embassy, members of Team Thailand in Pretoria, and their spouses, all of whom participated with profound loyalty and deep gratitude for His Majesty’s boundless benevolence.

On this occasion, the Embassy also held a ceremony in which officials pledged an oath of allegiance to be good civil servants and a force for the nation. In addition, a signing ceremony was held to convey best wishes to His Majesty the King.

To mark this auspicious occasion, the Embassy and Team Thailand also jointly organised a volunteer activity “Doing Good Deeds by Hearts” for the benefit of the local community by donating food and essential supplies to Tshwane Haven—an organisation that provides shelter and care for infants and children in Pretoria who have been abandoned, abused, orphaned, are ill, or are living with HIV.
