The Royal Thai Embassy in Pretoria held a mourning ceremony on the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother’s demise on 24 October 2025.

 

On this solemn occasion, His Excellency Mr. Ekapol Poolpipat, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of South Africa, led officials of Team Thailand at the Royal Thai Embassy in Pretoria in a mourning ceremony to pay tribute and sign the Book of Condolence in honour of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother at the Embassy. The ceremony was held to express their profound loyalty and heartfelt gratitude for Her Majesty’s boundless and gracious benevolence.

 

The Embassy opened a Book of Condolence for officials of the Republic of South Africa, members of the diplomatic corps, and Thai nationals from 27 to 31 October 2025, between 10.00–12.00 hours and 14.00–16.00 hours, at the Embassy.
