On 7 November 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Pretoria held a Patnasomsawan (15th-day commemoration) merit-making ceremony to dedicate merit to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, at the Embassy.
 
H.E. Mr. Ekapol Poolpipat, Ambassador, presided over the merit-making ceremony, which was attended by officials of the Team Thailand in Pretoria and their spouses, as well as representatives of the Thai community in South Africa.
 
Phra Khru Bhawanakhunvithet V., Abbot of the Dhammakaya Temple in Johannesburg, served as the presiding monk and conducted
the chanting of the Abhidhamma (funeral verses).
 
H.E. the Ambassador performed the robe-offering (Phamsukun), followed by the offering of meals and Sanghadana (alms for the monastic community).
The presiding monk delivered a sermon, led the participants in meditation, and dedicated the royal merit to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.
